The Road Passion

In Rangendingen, in the German federal state of Baden-Württemberg, Leonhard Weiss is counting on the concept of an all-electric construction site with e-machines from Hamm and Vögele. The aim is to make the construction process safer and more cost-efficient and simultaneously reduce noise and CO₂ emissions.

Three road pavers and three material feeders from Vögele have renovated the Automotodrom in Brno. The approximately 14,000 tonnes of special asphalt were produced in a Benninghoven mixing plant and had to be laid on the 5.4 km long traffic lane in the shortest possible time. Since international race tracks must guarantee maximum grip and consistent flatness, the requirements for the material and paving were particularly high.

In the Allgäu region, at an elevation of 1,277 meters, lies the Falkenstein Castle ruins—accessible via a private access road that also leads to a boutique hotel with a gourmet restaurant. The roughly two-kilometer road winds through tight switchbacks and features gradients of up to 30 percent. For the demanding resurfacing work, Josef Böck GmbH from Nesselwang is relying on the new Vögele paver SUPER 1800-5 X with the extending screed AB 500 TP1.

Top asphalt quality for fast cars: The Russian construction company Tekhalyans, responsible for resurfacing and maintaining the Sochi Autodrom, relies on the new high-tech TBA 3000 plant for this work. A high mixing capacity, more process reliability, less energy consumption and resource-friendly use of recycled materials – these aspects speak for themselves. Top quality for top speeds up to 320 km/h!
