Wirtgen Group machines strong together for Formula 1

A particular challenge: rehabilitating the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps race track. The Belgian track was not a design fresh from the drawing board, as is usually the case, but has been in existence for over 100 years and includes ordinary roads. To ensure maximum possible driver safety, extremely stringent conditions for evenness and grip were applied to the asphalt surface course.

Cold recycling train with new Vögele SUPER 2100-5i paver

For the rehabilitation of an agricultural road on the Dutch coast, the contractors opted for cold in-place recycling. A well-established combination was used: the W 240 CRi cold recycler from Wirtgen and the new SUPER 2100-5i Highway Class paver from Vögele.
