The HT22 toolholder system is primarily distinguished by its higher wear resistance. The system's exceptionally long service life results in a noticeable extension of the intervals between replacements in construction site use. It is also characterized by a prismatic layout of its mounting surface.
For the user, this results in longer life of the pick and toolholder system. The resulting benefits – fewer pick changes, fewer downtime periods, extended maintenance intervals, and higher machine availability – enable economical stabilization of even the most difficult soils and efficient milling and recycling of severely damaged roadway pavement.
This makes the milling drums equipped with the HT22 quick-change toolholder system perfect for highly demanding milling tasks. In addition, the heavy-duty milling drum design enables the upper parts of the quick-change toolholders to be changed quickly on site, if required.
The new HT22 PLUS toolholder top part is distinguished by an innovative centering embossment on the pick mounting surface. In combination with the new Generation X² round shaft pick, pick holder wear is reduced by up to 25%. In addition, the rotation behavior of the round shaft pick has been optimized. Clear advantages of the new top part include higher quality of the milled surfaces and extended replacement intervals.
One of the most important factors in every application is minimizing the time required for servicing and replacing pick holders. This is why the HT22 quick-change toolholder system, with its minimal maintenance requirements, perfectly complements PCD cutting tools compared to all other pick holder systems available. The top parts of the HT22 need to be replaced at the same interval as the PCD cutting tools. This considerably reduces maintenance requirements, such as retightening the retaining bolt.
