VÖGELE Milestones From 2010 Onward

Move to the New Plant

In October 2010, JOSEPH VÖGELE AG starts production in the world's most modern road paver factory. With a total investment value of 100 million Euros, the new factory built in Ludwigshafen on the river Rhine is one of the biggest investments made in the European mechanical engineering industry. From now on, road pavers and screeds for the world market are produced, assembled and shipped from an outdoor site extending over 370,000 square meters and an indoor area of roughly 60,000 square meters.

Launch of the “Dash 3” Machine Generation

With the all-new “Dash 3” generation of pavers, JOSEPH VÖGELE AG ushered in the next stage of road construction. State-of-the-art, user-friendly technology is the foundation for these innovative, environmentally friendly and economical asphalt pavers.

The first representatives were SUPER 1900-3, SUPER 2100-3 and SUPER 1800-3. Further road pavers in all classes followed.

First solution for process optimization and documentation

With WITOS Paving, VÖGELE offers the first digital solution for optimizing and documenting a paving process with a road paver. Continuous monitoring of laydown temperature is possible with the contactless RoadScan measurement system. Surface temperatures are clearly visualized as thermal images on the display of the ErgoPlus 3 paver operator's console.

Stronger together

As a subsidiary of WIRTGEN GROUP, JOSEPH VÖGELE AG came under the umbrella of the American company Deere & Company. Deere intends to retain and continue the existing WIRTGEN GROUP brands, their management, production sites, employees, and sales and service network.

Optimal results in asphalt paving: the new Big MultiPlex Ski

The new Big MultiPlex Ski sensor system and the grade and slope control sensors ensure maximum evenness and profile accuracy in operation. This new generation of machines integrates innovative, practical details and simplifies both the fitting and use of the sensors. This is due in particular to newly-developed clamping fasteners, which allow sensors to be attached without any tools at all.

Largest paver from VÖGELE

The new flagship, the SUPER 3000-3i, combines a maximum output of 354 kW with a maximum paving capacity of 1,800 t/h, a maximum paving width of 18 m, and outstanding user-friendliness! The entire chassis is height-adjustable for the first time to allow optimum material transfer; hydraulic tamper stroke adjustment works at the touch of a button.

2022: Launch of the latest machine generation

Two steps ahead: With new road pavers such as the SUPER 1900-5 X, the SUPER 2100-5 X and the SUPER 1800-5 X, as well as the latest-generation extending screeds AB 500 and AB 600, road construction companies are well equipped for the future. The new machine generation impresses with user-friendliness, process automation, cost-effectiveness and sustainability. More products will follow in all classes.
