The Wirtgen Group Presents Three Market Premieres at Asphaltica 2026

Focus on Recycling

Windhagen, September 10, 2026 – Under the event motto “Roads to the Future”, the Wirtgen Group will be presenting solutions for road construction, earthworks, and the processing of quarried stone and recyclable materials in Bologna from October 7 to 10, 2026. In Hall 37, Booth B40, and on the outdoor exhibition area, the spotlight will be on the market debuts of the SUPER 800-5 P Mini Class paver, the
HC  200i C VA compactor, and the MR 100i NEOe impact crusher.

Do More with Less with New Wirtgen Group Technologies

Vögele presents its latest generation SUPER 800-5 P Mini-Class paver. With its compact design, new material hopper geometry, an elevated operator's platform, an ergonomic operating concept, and an improved lighting concept, the SUPER 800-5 P offers high operator comfort, unobstructed visibility, and flexibility in paving applications. The hopper sides are hinged in two places and can be adjusted asymmetrically on both sides. Its ErgoBasic 5 operating concept is also particularly ergonomic: users can shift the paver operator’s console horizontally and fix it at four different angles. With paving widths between 0.5 and 3.5 m, the SUPER 800-5 P is the ideal choice for paving on narrow construction sites.

For the earthworks sector, Hamm is showing its HC 200i C VAcompactor with Smart Compact, which enables automated compaction to a preselected target value in MN/m². The new VA (Variable Amplitude) drum continuously and directly varies the applied compaction energy based on ground conditions. Independent of the material being compacted, Smart Compact increases process reliability and contributes to the conservation of valuable resources and the reduction of wear and tear on machines by reducing the number of compaction passes required. Over-compaction and drum jumping are also prevented. Thanks to the variable amplitude, the new VA compactors are the ideal choice for a wide range of applications and achieve centrifugal forces of up to 450 kN. These models also feature a spacious operator’s platform with numerous comfort features and the Easy Drive operating concept, which minimizes operating complexity and enables operators to respond quickly and correctly with shortest possible delays.

The premieres at the show also include the MOBIREX MR 100 NEOe mobile impact crusher from Kleemann. In the e-version, the fully-electric E-DRIVE concept enables operation of the impact crusher with zero local operational emissions. Thanks to its compact dimensions and low transport weight, the versatile impact crusher can be quickly and easily moved from place to place and used for a wide range of applications. The spectrum ranges from the processing of soft to medium-hard quarried stone to recycling applications such as the processing of concrete, mixed material, and asphalt.

With the compact large milling machine W 200 Fi, Wirtgen adds a further highlight to the selection of machines from the Wirtgen Group portfolio being presented at the show. The milling machine features a simple operating concept and caters for a broad spectrum of applications ranging from surface layer rehabilitation and full-depth pavement removal to fine milling work. Thanks to Mill Assist and the Wirtgen Group Performance Tracker, the machine provides seamless documentation of the construction site and simultaneously optimizes productivity and consumption of resources. Another visitor to the show is the wheeled WRC 240 X, which enables the crushing of rocks and stones, hand-packed stone pavement layers, concrete fragments, or cobblestones at production rates of up to 600 t/h.

The company group is also showing the new MULTI JET burner from Benninghoven. With the world’s first burner for asphalt mixing plants that can also be fired with 100% green hydrogen, the drying and heating process for virgin material and reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) is CO₂ emission-free. In addition to the burner, the new MULTI JET Control burner control system and a feed system with a patented pressure regulating section are also part of the perfectly coordinated all-in-one solution with which up to four different fuels can be used at the same time, regardless of their physical state – whether solid, liquid, or gaseous.

Wirtgen Group Experts Take the Stage with Two Technical Presentations

At Asphaltica, the Wirtgen Group is focusing primarily on the topic of recycling. For instance, on October 8, Regional Sales Manager Alessandro Camerini will be presenting “Solutions for Production and Recycling Management Systems” from the group’s Wirtgen, Kleemann, and Benninghoven brands. On October 7, 2026, spare parts sales specialist Luca Pirozzolo from Wirtgen Macchine, will be providing insights into the topic of “Digital Transformation on Road Construction Sites”.

Wirtgen Group specialists from the group’s Italian subsidiary, Wirtgen Macchine, will be at the show to answer any questions visitors may have about products, solutions, and services in a personal dialog.

Digital Solutions for Greater Transparency in the Construction Process

A whole range of digital solutions for various different areas of the road construction process chain will also be presented. These include, for example, the automation solution Smart Compact Pro, which visitors to the show will be able to experience at first hand with the aid of a simulator at the Wirtgen Group booth. With Hamm’s Realtime Density Scan, the automation of compaction on the basis of real-time asphalt density measurement is now possible for the first time. Thanks to real-time measurement of the asphalt density across the entire paved surface, this system offers contractors the opportunity to reduce costs and simultaneously improve the quality of their asphalt compaction.

Visitors to the booth can also find out more about the John Deere Operations Center™. The key functions of the digital platform include planning, monitoring, maintenance, and the analysis of construction sites and equipment. Integrated maintenance schedules enable comprehensive streamlining of processes and the optimization of machine performance and services.
