More user-friendly than ever

Paver Access Control (PAC)

With PAC, the paver is started up safely from the screed. The paver can be readied for operation and transported more quickly using the control on the screed footstep. This makes the PAC system easier for operators and saves valuable time – allowing for more economical operation.

Swiveling ErgoPlus 5 operator seats

The ergonomic shape of the ErgoPlus 5 operator's seat prevents fatigue, aiding in safe operation. The Convenience Package provides an additional ± 20° swivel for the operator's seat, enabling the operator to sit up straight in the direction of travel or get a clearer view of the material handling area. It also features two levels of seat heating.

Optimized paver canopy

The optimized geometry of the Dash 5 generation’s canopy provides more headroom on the operator's platform. As part of the Convenience Package, insulated sunshades keep the workspace cool and quiet for the operator. Spacious luggage nets also provide storage space for personal items. So everything has its place, and there are no trip hazards.

Two 24-volt power outlets

Additional power outlets are provided on the operator's platform and also on the side plates for charging mobile devices and connecting extra lighting.

Weather protection hood on the screed

A tilting and rotating screen protects the screed operators from strong sunlight. It is mounted using a simple plug-in system.

PAC operation in detail

Paver Access Control (PAC) in detail

In the dark the paver's lighting can be switched on first. After opening the cover, the diesel engine can be started, the canopy erected, and the screed lowered for a convenient access. The canopy is automatically locked and the machine control is booted. This ensures safety and saves time, as the paver operator cannot forget to lock the screed, and can start heating the screed immediately after stepping onto the platform.

Better equipped in the standard model – and also upgradeable

Auto Grade Plus

The VÖGELE grade and slope control system Auto Grade Plus automatically detects every connected sensor, making configuration easier. All cabling and connections are integrated into the tractor unit and screed to minimize effort for operators. Automated solutions like Auto Grade Plus also save time on the jobsite and enhance paving quality.

Improved footstep on the screed

The footstep’s simplified folding mechanism makes it even quicker to access, and its optimized slip-proofing means it is safer to use even in bad weather.

Easily stowable sensor holder

The holders for the grade and slope sensors can be quickly mounted, without using tools, on the screed’s side plate. The holders can be securely fastened to the screed for transport to and from the jobsite.

Screed extension mounting aid

The plug-in system enables quick and easy mounting of the screed extensions by simply slotting them onto the side of the screed and aligning them using a quick coupler. Once they have been mechanically bolted in place, the screed extensions are correctly mounted.

Hydraulic side plate adjuster

The optional hydraulic height adjuster for the side plates on the extending screeds provides a high degree of flexibility. The adjustment is made simply by pressing a button on the remote control unit of the hydraulically-adjustable side plates. The same unit can also be used to control other process-related functions.

Plug-in tool holder on the screed

The tool holder can be easily attached to and removed from the screed. All necessary tools and equipment can be stowed here.

Hinged side plate

The optional hinged side plates can be swung away behind the screed and secured for transport. As a result, the transport width of 2.55 m to 3 m (8.4 ft. to 9.8 ft.) is easily maintained. Practical sensor mounting gets the paver ready faster, and enables economical operation.

Additional equipment on the paver canopy

Additional equipment items such as the hazard warning light and GPS antenna can be securely mounted on the canopy, and do not need to be removed for transport. The same is true of the weather station available with the RoadScan option.

ErgoPlus 5 paver operator’s console Standard vs. Premium Touch

Premium Touch

The Premium Touch version includes all the functions of the standard version, and additionally features a large touchscreen on the left side of the console. It can be used to view data from Grade Assist, RoadScan, the weather station, and the optional cameras. Premium Touch makes the paver fit for the future, as it can be used to configure and monitor VÖGELE's digital solutions. Premium Touch will also be able to control future applications.

Standard version

The user interface of the ErgoPlus 5 paver operator’s console features the usual clear and intuitive layout. The well-thought-out design is reflected in lots of small details that are practical and time-saving aids to operation. The console's flat design provides more legroom, while the improved display clearly indicates a wide range of parameters. With an easy-grip SmartWheel for steering, and a potentiometer for fine steering adjustment, the Dash 5 generation maximizes precision in operation. The console additionally features storage options, as well as a 12-volt power outlet for charging mobile devices.

Flat design

The design of the ErgoPlus 5 is very flat and practical. So it’s easy to stow away, and most importantly, provides extra legroom.

Flat design

The ErgoPlus 5 screed operator’s console is also of a flatter design, making it very easy to stow away.

Independent from the material and grade and slope sensors

The connecting cables and connections for the material and grade and slope sensors are connected directly to the console on the side plate.

Hydraulic tamper stroke adjuster

The Dual Power Shift hydraulic tamper stroke adjuster can be operated from the screed operator’s console.

QuickConnect

The QuickConnect system enables the screed operator’s console to be connected with just one click. The easy and secure connection also works while the screed is running.

Optional remote control allowing free movement around the screed

A remote control unit is also available for the hydraulically height-adjustable side plate. It is connected to the screed operator’s console, and allows the operator to freely select any viewing point around the paving location. This is particularly useful to operators when adjusting the side plate, watching the material flow, and precisely monitoring the paving width.

Lighting

The Light Package makes working in the dark much easier and safer. Good illumination of the workplace reduces the risk of operating errors and accidents. The Light Package Plus provides even better illumination around the paver.

Logistic Plus

Better logistics - shorter setup times

Logistic Plus allows all the components of the auger and screed bolt-on extensions, together with accessories and fixtures, to be stored in an organized manner and to be transported to the jobsite safely. A Logistic Plus frame is available for extending the AB 500 and AB 600 standard screeds. The complete 0.75 m (nearly 2 ft 6 in) extension kit can be stored in it. Two Logistic Plus frames are available for the auger extension – one each for the left and right attachment sides. They can accommodate the 0.25 m, 0.65 m and 1 m (nearly 10 in, 2 ft 2 in and 3 ft 3 in) extension kits for pavers SUPER 1800-5, SUPER 1900-5, and SUPER 2100-5. This means that the extension kits are always ready to hand on the jobsite.
