With the Dash 5 generation, VÖGELE is deploying environmentally-friendly machine technology, thereby making an important contribution to sustainability in asphalt paving. The main focus is on using less fossil fuel, reducing CO₂ emissions, and minimizing noise. With its optimized emissions reduction package, VÖGELE offers solutions to meet all of those challenges.

EcoPlus: Power on demand

Reduced consumption, fewer emissions

The improved VÖGELE EcoPlus automatically adjusts the power demand to the specific requirements of the paving job at hand. This helps reduce fuel consumption, noise, and CO₂ emissions.

Minimal consumption when not moving

When the paver is at a standstill, the switchable transfer gearbox reduces fuel consumption by automatically switching off all hydraulic pumps for travel, material transfer, and compacting.

Quick to reach temperature

A bypass function on the controlled hydraulic-oil temperature circuit brings the hydraulic oil to the optimal operating temperature in the shortest possible time, enabling rapid, fuel-saving paver operation.

Adaptable tamper propulsion

The energy-optimized tamper propulsion is powered by a variable displacement pump. It always delivers exactly the amount of oil needed for the tamper speed.

Speed-optimized fan

A control-optimized fan saves even more on consumption. Thanks to separate temperature monitoring of all pipes flowing through the cooler, the correct fan speed is now calculated even more accurately. Together with additional sound-proofing, this reduces noise even further.

Screed heating with Eco function

To ensure a clean surface structure, the screed is heated across its entire width and automatically kept at temperature. Optimized heating rods ensure even quicker and more consistent heating, so the material doesn’t stick. The Eco function provides highly economical heating, while the compaction units can be brought up to temperature quickly by the Boost function. This saves time, and enhances economic efficiency.

Many features of the Dash 5 generation make it easier for the operator to concentrate on the essentials on the jobsite. That makes the workplace more attractive, and also reduces the likelihood of mistakes being made during paving.
