2014–2017: Global Growth

The WIRTGEN GROUP Continues to Grow

BENNINGHOVEN Completes the Product Range

In 2014, another leading technology company joins the WIRTGEN GROUP: BENNINGHOVEN GmbH & Co. KG, a successful and highly respected manufacturer of asphalt mixing plants that perfectly complements the existing product range.

With the addition of BENNINGHOVEN, the WIRTGEN GROUP now offers its customers end-to-end solutions from leading technology brands from a single source that cover every stage of the process, from crushing rock and mixing asphalt to paving, compacting, and rehabilitating all kinds of road surfaces.

The WIRTGEN GROUP exhibits BENNINGHOVEN products for the first time at bauma in 2016, presenting 93 machines on 11,712 m² of exhibition space, including 30 new products.

At the end of August 2016, BENNINGHOVEN begins construction of its new brand headquarters in Wittlich-Wengerohr. On a 330,000 m² site, the company builds a production facility spanning 46,000 m² and a five-story office building with 12,000 m² of floor space.

Expanding the Global Sales and Service Network

The WIRTGEN GROUP continues to expand its sales and service network and invests in its foreign facilities. This allows the group of companies to respond to customer needs even more effectively – on every continent.

The completely new factory in China opens in the spring of 2015 – the 33,000 m² production facility offers sufficient space to manufacture the product range tailored specifically to the Chinese market.

At the same time, the production site in Pune, India was expanded from 100,000 m² to 128,000 m² in 2015. This allows the group to soon manufacture KLEEMANN screening plants for the local market in Pune in addition to the HAMM rollers already produced there.

In Australia, a new company headquarters is established in Perth and the regional locations in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Auckland, New Zealand are all expanded. These measures further optimize personnel and material availability on the Australian continent.

Further expansions include a new service center in France, a new location for the WIRTGEN WINDHAGEN sales and service company in Germany, etc...

Merger of the WIRTGEN GROUP with John Deere

On December 1, 2017, the WIRTGEN GROUP officially became part of John Deere’s Construction & Forestry division.
