Pave Assist Plus: Paving and transport made easy

Pave Assist Plus VÖGELE relieves the workload of construction teams by allowing paving-relevant settings to be saved and recalled. The assistance system also makes it possible to move a “Dash 5” paver between construction phases automatically.

Before starting work or when changing construction sites, users typically have to reset each paver and screed value manually - even if construction projects are similar This costs money and time. In order to support such routine tasks, VÖGELE has developed AutoSet Plus for its Line-3 Generation. With the introduction of assistance and automation solutions in the WIRTGEN GROUP this now becomes the “Dash 5” Generation solution in the Pave Assist Plus from VÖGELE.

Easy and quick adjustment of the paver with Pave Assist Plus

Pave Assist Plus already includes three preset parameters: Data for the installation of a base, binder and surface layer. In addition, a user can automatically adopt settings already used with Pave Assist Plus as a new program on the display of the driver control consolem and adapt them if necessary. These include values ​​such as the paving width, paving speed, tamper stroke and other machine settings relevant to paving. These can later be accessed quickly and easily with just a few presses of a button.

The installation settings for a base, binder, and surface layer are available from the start as part of the Pave Assist Plus assistance system.

Previously used settings can also be adopted as a new program with Pave Assist Plus on the driver control console.

Preparing for transport

After changing from the installation mode to the “Job Site" mode, the Execute button is pressed. This automatically raises the auger, the hydraulic hopper front flap, and the crawler pre-scrapers to the uppermost position. The screed and leveling cylinder are also put into transport mode.

Ready to transport

After just a short time, the paver is ready for transport. The hydraulic locking of the screed in this position and the brief reversal of the scraper belts prevent the mix from falling down during transport.

Settings are restored

After the transport, the operator returns to the installation aisle. By then pressing the Execute button, everything is returned to its original working position. This allows the operator to continue working with the same settings.
