With an optimized user experience – from the screen layout to tablet operation and preconfigured trends. Development also actively incorporated practical insights from mixing supervisors. The BLS 4 is also part of a lifecycle management process that ensures its software and hardware is kept up-to-date, while also being covered by a level of IT security that meets all of the current statutory regulations. And last but not least: Recipe Generator 4.0, for generating asphalt recipes with variable RAP feed quantities – sustainability made possible.

SMART

The BENNINGHOVEN control system steers and optimizes your production processes while generating the parameters you need to keep a close eye on your operating costs. This approach makes it very simple to prepare project-based final costings. Decades of experience and listening to plant operators has created the perfect platform for a user-friendly control system.

A real-time visual representation mode enables powerful drilldowns into production processes. All current production parameters are shown together with operational data, so as to enable optimum operational reliability and product quality.

In addition to fully automatic mode, the control system also offers a manual operating mode. Each assembly can be operated manually or automatically. Each drive or valve is assigned to a button that can be used for manual operation.

Lifecycle

An asphalt mixing plant has a service life of 20–30 years, while the lifecycle for its electronic components are approx. 4–8 years – this gap has now been closed by BENNINGHOVEN lifecycle management.

Software and hardware are successively kept updated:

  • Updates and hardware adaptations are conducted in regular, short cycles
  • The older the control system/components, the greater the risk of failures or incompatibilities affecting parts that cannot be replaced on a like-for-like basis
  • Components typically replaced – hard drives, printers, batteries, monitors

BENNINGHOVEN Recipe Generator 4.0

Recipe Generator 4.0 is a software option for generating recipes with variable quantities of RAP material.

  • Simpler and more straightforward operation
  • Use Recipe Generator whether or not virgin mineral is run through the screen or (NEW) with bypass – recipe accuracy always assured
  • Automatic mixing of different recycling types possible – continuous generation of the resulting recycling analysis from different recycling types
  • Keeps manual analysis preparation to a minimum
  • Only the RAP analysis (screen curve analysis) has to be entered 1:1 into the system – Recipe Generator executes all other steps automatically
  • Automatic bitumen type change – including tank selection – triggered by base recipe
  • Operator can define exceptions – additional materials that should not be included in the dynamic adjustment process
