Powerful electric drives lower the CO2 emissions, fuel-saving models operate with a high level of efficiency and thus resource-conserving.
Sustainability for KLEEMANN is a permanent element of our company principles and serves as a guideline for daily activity: Kleemann, with its crushing and screening plants, is a strong partner for its customers. Already in the development and design phase of KLEEMANN products, the sustainability concept plays an important role and runs like a common thread through all stages of the value-added chain – up to application of the machines in projects all over the world. The highly efficient drives and individual solutions provide customers with the possibility of achieving - simultaneously and equally - economic and environmental objectives.
We want to create value in a sustainable manner – for our customers, our employees and our society.
Stone accompanies us from morning to night, for example, in the form of ceramic cups or, in less obvious places such as the finely pulverised, mineral cleaning abrasives in toothpaste. The ecological traffic transition would also be inconceivable without minerals. Electric cars require lithium and cobalt as raw materials for their batteries and then, in turn, travel on roads built with asphalt, concrete and crushed stone. The construction of one kilometre of motorway requires 216,000 t sand, gravel and grit. Even those who switch from car to train barely make a contribution to reducing stone consumption. For every kilometre of railway, over 35,000 t of railway ballast alone is required.
This is how the consumption of every citizen adds up to over a kilogramme every hour in every day.
KLEEMANN - a part of the circular flow economyThe best drive concept? Of course there is no single solution. Whereas electric drives score very well with regard to the CO2 footprint, in some situations a fuel-saving diesel drive is the better solution. KLEEMANN machines are available in different variants: with diesel-electric, diesel-direct and diesel-hydraulic drive and, optionally, with the external power supply.
Find out moreThere are more and more demands for a reduction in dust and noise not only in urban areas but also in quarries. Noise and dust emission can be burdensome. Operation of the KLEEMANN machines is therefore particularly low-noise and they are designed to reduce and efficiently contain noise and dust emission.
Find out moreSustainability also means optimising processes. After all, if components wear quickly new components have to be produced with a high material and energy input. The innovative continuous feed system (CFS) as well as overload systems ensure that the feed material is always conveyed with maximum efficiency through the machines. The filling level of the crushing chambers is monitored continuously and the feed is adapted to the process. This optimised process ensures that material wear is as low as possible. Furthermore, the fuel consumption is also reduced – which is also good for the environment.

Only if processes are perfectly designed can the plants be operated in a material- and fuel-saving manner with low wear levels. It is always of decisive importance to find machines and solutions to meet the requirements. To work effectively and thus in a resource-conserving manner, the plant must be neither too small nor over-dimensioned. Our customers can rely on the fact that our employees plan all processes in detail, for example, with an AggFlow, with which the process can be simulated in detail in advance. KLEEMANN, together with its customers, thus makes a valuable contribution for environmental protection.
To "The ROCK" articleSustainability at KLEEMANN is firmly established and follows the defined basic principles of WIRTGEN GROUP. But what contributions and measures permit the practical achievement of these objectives?
Find out moreThis is why we are constantly improving our existing products and developing new technical solutions. Achieving efficient and sustainable solutions is a top priority right from the start of the development and design phase of all WIRTGEN GROUP products and technologies. The spectrum ranges from digital assistance systems that optimise or speed up processes to retrofit solutions for existing machines and plants and alternative drive train technologies.
