World première of the 10-foot road pavers at Conexpo 2026
For the first time, the Joseph Vögele AG presents the SUPER 2000-5 X and SUPER 2003-5 X Highway Class pavers with the newly-designed VR 600 and VF 600 screeds – together with other representatives of the Dash 5 generation. The machines in this product family offer the highest level of operator comfort, automated processes, shorter setup times and low noise and exhaust emissions.
Vögele launches the new Dash 5 paver generation in the USA. In Las Vegas, the road paver specialist is showing the new 10-foot class for the first time, together with the SUPER 2100-5 X. The SUPER 2000-5 X tracked paver enables a paving width of 10 ft. (3.05 m) to 27 ft. 9 in. (8.5 m), the wheel variation SUPER 2003-5 X enables pave widths up to 25 ft. 5 in. (7.75 m). Both pavers realise laydown rates of up to 1,540 US t/hr and are designed for high-speed paving. As Dash 5 generation machines, they also impress with a combination of user-friendliness, process automation, and cost efficiency. Numerous new features increase operator comfort and shorten commissioning and setup times. This increases productivity while simultaneously reducing transport or reworking costs.
Both pavers can be used in combination with the new VR 600 and VF 600 screeds. The VR 600 with extensions mounted behind the basic screed is equipped with a completely redesigned telescopic guidance system that simplifies the paving of concrete profiles. In addition, its very low height affords an ideal overview of the inside of the auger tunnel. It features paving widths of 10 ft. (3.05 m) to 25 ft. 9 in. (7.9 m) and is particularly suitable for the construction of highways and larger projects with high pave speeds. The VF 600 with extensions mounted in front of the basic screed offers improved material flow for particularly even material spreading. It enables paving widths of 10 ft. (3.05 m) to 25 ft. 5 in. (7.75 m) and is ideal for construction measures with varying operating widths. The extensions of both screed types can be tilted by up to 10% and are thus precisely aligned with the paving requirements of the North American market. In conjunction with the vibration compaction system (V), they achieve optimal evenness and pre-compaction.
Both the screeds and the pavers of the new Dash 5 generation designed entirely with their users in mind: With the revised and upgraded ErgoPlus 5 operating concept, Vögele provides a better overview, more convenience and storage options, improved ergonomics and an optional touch display for digital applications. The new Paver Access Control function (PAC) enables convenient commissioning and decommissioning of the Dash 5 paver from ground level. In addition, the Lighting Package Plus option with permanently integrated LED floodlights provides additional safety and shorter setup times when working on construction sites at night. With automatic functions such as AutoTrac automatic steering and screed width control or Smart Pave digital paving control, the Dash 5 pavers reduce the users’ workload while simultaneously increasing efficiency and quality. Furthermore, the digital solution Wirtgen Group Performance Tracker (WPT) Paving enables precise documentation of the paving process and the work on the construction site. The new RoadScan option can be also be added to enable precise, full-coverage measurement of the paving temperature over a scanning width of up to 42 ft 8 in (13 m).
Vögele has also implemented a number of measures designed to reduce the Dash 5 pavers’ CO₂ and noise emissions. These include the improved EcoPlus low-emissions package. The speed-controlled fan has been modified to enable even more precise calculation of the rotational speed to contribute to a further reduction of noise emissions already achieved by other measures.
Apart from the Highway Class, Vögele is also presenting a new generation Mini Class paver in Las Vegas, the SUPER 800-5 P. The successor to the SUPER 700i delivers an engine output of 74 hp (55.4 kW), a laydown rate of up to 330 US t/hr and is extremely compact with a width of 4 ft. 7 in. (1.4 m) and a length of 14 ft. 5 in. (4.4 m). In combination with the extending screed AB 200 and AB 220 and the compaction systems Vibration or Tamper and Vibration compaction systems, it offers pave widths between 1 ft. 8 in. (0.5 m) and 11 ft. 6 in. (3.5 m) – which makes it suitable for narrow construction projects. Compared to its predecessor, the Dash 5 model also incorporates numerous new features.
On the one hand, Vögele has optimised the material hopper: the asymmetrical material hopper wall configuration, for instance for paving along a wall, can now be realised on both sides Furthermore, the hopper walls of the SUPER 800-5 P now feature a double folding function. This affords the operator an unrestricted view ahead of the paver. On the other hand, Vögele has revised and improved the ergonomics of the paver operator’s platform: The angle of the new ErgoBasic operator’s control console can now be adjusted in four steps to accommodate the needs of taller and smaller paver operators. For the first time, the paver operator’s console of the new ErgoBasic 5 operating concept features an integrated display on which the operator view the machine’s operating data. In addition, Vögele has fully integrated the operation of the Auto Grade Basic system for automated grade and slope control into the machine control system. This means that screed operators can now control the SUPER 800-5 P via a compact console.
