A constant supply of mix is essential for producing a level, high-quality pavement. That's why VÖGELE developed the PaveDock Assistant for their “Dash 3” generation of pavers. This exceedingly efficient system greatly facilitates communication between the paver operator and the driver of the feed vehicle, and it ensures that the mix is supplied to the paver safely and without jolts.
This applies to road rehabilitation using cold milling machines and cold recyclers as well as to soil stabilization and the extraction of useful minerals using surface miners.
In the standard product range, WIRTGEN offers an extensive number of optional drums that help the customer to perform many applications in the surface processing, as well as performing recycling work or when cut mining soft or hard rock.

In the mid-1970s, WIRTGEN developed a method for the economically efficient rehabilitation of damaged bituminous road surfaces. Based on the revolutionary idea to replasticize roads by means of heat, the first hot recycler was developed in 1976. That was the beginning of WIRTGEN’s success as a recycling contractor, operating their own fleet of hot recyclers. WIRTGEN perfected the “heated” process with much passion and pioneering spirit, and ever-new, successful inspirations marked the path of this innovative technology. The equation set up back then is working out just right today, when economically efficient and environmentally friendly construction methods are called for.
The levelling system performs level and slope control in a fully automated process. It evaluates the signals transmitted by the sensors, calculates the deviations from the preset target value and automatically translates the information into level and slope corrections to be performed by the machine. The operator is relieved of a significant part of his workload as manual interventions are no longer required.
