HC Series: New models with CEV Stage V engine and powerful ECO mode

Hamm is presenting new soil compactors for the Indian market. The models HC 119i, HC 119i D and HC 139i D with operating weights between 11 and 13 t are equipped with a new 74 kW (11t) and 95,6 kW (13 t) strong engine according emission standard CEV Stage V. Just like the previous HC Series models, the new soil compactors can be operated in an efficient ECO Mode reducing up to 20 % of fuel consumption. Another benefit in terms of compaction quality is the new automatic frequency adjustment.

Tailored for the Indian market

All models of HC Series are completely homologised and comply with the Indian regulations and specifications. Therefore, the new 11 t soil compactors are equipped with a 74 kW Asohk Leyland engine. The 13 t machines are built with a 95.6 kW engine. To clean the exhaust gas, the machines are equipped with DOC, DPF and SCR. Moreover, the new machines come up with lots of features in accordance with the new regulations just like the specifications regarding machine safety and comfort like vibrations, noise, roll over protection, comfort, and visibility.

New drum for high compaction power

Regarding compaction power, the new soil compactors are equipped with a new drum ensuring high compaction power, reduced startup energy and even more durability. With a maximum centrifugal force of 242 kN, HC 119i and HC 139i soil compactors deliver high compaction ability for different applications in earthworks. Also, the new drum goes along with less oil consumption and offers maintenance points that are easily accessible. The drum can be equipped with padfoot shells, too.

Automatic frequency adjustments

When it comes to process reliability and compaction quality, the new models show up with an automatic adjustment of the frequency. Therefore, the operator can choose the frequency (30 Hz or 35 Hz) via display setting. During compaction, an intelligent control makes sure that the set point is always reached. Especially for unexperienced operators, this automatic frequency adjustment is a huge benefit ensuring the vibration to consistently deliver the optimal results.

Well-known strengths and new options

In addition to the mentioned innovations, the new soil compactors also stand for familiar strengths. Simple and language-neutral operation, good handling properties thanks to 3-point-articulation, high gradeability and a high level of comfort. In addition, both HC 119i D and HC 139i D are designed as models with drum drive enabling to scale gradients of up to 53 %. In terms of options, HC 119i and HC 139i can be equipped with single or double scrapers, compaction measurement, vibration automatic and powerful LED lighting technology. Another new feature is the option to connect to the John Deere Operations Center.

Highly efficient ECO mode

Just like the previous series of Hamm soil compactors, the new models can be operated in a highly efficient ECO mode saving fuel consumption by over 20% and lowering CO₂-Emission.

Optimized maintenance

In terms of service, access to maintenance points has been improved once again. Also, the new drum can be serviced more quickly and needs less oil. Consequently, operating times of the new machines are extended while maintenance costs are saved at the same time.

New models with CEV Stage V engine and powerful ECO mode

The highlights of the new HC Series soil compactors include simple operation, high compaction power, modern and economical engines (74 kW and 95,6 kW) with ECO mode and impressive gradeability (max. 53%). The machines are manufactured India.
