Almost all areas of a company require the services offered by a Warehouse Logistics Specialist. You play a decisive role in logistics processes from goods received to the despatch of shipments. All workspaces are equipped with state-of-the-art IT technology that is an integral component of the day-to-day work. In logistics, there are various forms of warehousing and equipment. Various different types of handling equipment are used for the movement and storage of goods in warehouses (e.g. stacker trucks and tractors). As all materials and goods required for manufacturing our products pass through logistics, procedures and processes must be constantly reorganized to cope with changing demand.

Training program

Your trainers will prepare you for your future career in the course of a three-year training program combining attendance of a vocational training college (the Ludwig-Erhard-Schule in Neuwied) and in-house training. In the course of your training, you will learn what goes on in the various departments in logistics – here are several examples:

  • Goods receipt department: Here is where you will learn all about the handling of goods received and checking shipping documents, the booking-in of goods with the warehouse management system, labeling of goods, and onward carriage
  • Main and central warehouses: Storage of goods with state-of-the-art warehousing systems and equipment, provisioning and picking for production and shipping
  • Shipping: Packing of goods for shipment in compliance with legal requirements, preparation of bills of lading, and the loading of goods for onward transportation
  • In-house transport: Transport and storage of goods by means of various different types of handling equipment
