Mechatronics technician (m/f/d)

The perfect start to your career

As a mechatronics technician, you work interdisciplinarily in the areas of mechanical system, electrical system, electronics and information technology. You use design drawings and circuit diagrams from mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric, electronic and information systems and components to assemble functional units. You also manufacture individual components and assemble to form systems and plants. You put the systems into operation, program them or install the associated software. This also includes maintenance, service and troubleshooting on complex mechatronic components on our crushing and screening plants.

Brief overview

Start: September

Duration of training: 3.5 years

Prerequisite: good General Certificate of Secondary Education

Subsequent place of work: in factory halls, in customer service on site at the customer's

During the three and a half years of training, comprising an interaction of vocational school and company training, your instructors will prepare you for your subsequent career. Centred around a company training plan, you will spend time in different departments.

Furthermore, we offer company-internal instruction that accompanies the vocational school training (incl. English) to prepare you for examinations and later professional life.

If you perform well, we can offer you a take-over if the company situation permits this.

Course of training
  • Training workshop: basic training, planning and processing of components on manual and CNC-controlled lathes and milling machines. Basic electrical training
  • Mechanical machining: the focus here is on the handling of a very wide variety of state-of-the-art machine tools and their production processes.
  • Electrical workshop: here, you become familiar with the production of different single parts and component groups, which you subsequently have to reuse in assembly and have to install.
  • Final assembly: together with the team, you assemble the prefabricated parts into complex construction machines, test them and finally put them into mechanical and electrical operation.
  • Programming station: you program, check and change PLC programs from different manufacturers
Requirements
  • Dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination (e.g. when installing circuit relays, when replacing wear parts)
  • Care (e.g. when analysing and eliminating malfunctions)
  • Technical comprehension and craft skills (e.g. when assembling plants and machines composed of mechanical and electronic parts)
  • Flexibility (e.g. adjusting to changing work sites and conditions during assembly missions)
It's never boring here. I'm faced with new challenges every day and I have fantastic colleagues and I can always rely on them.
