Our Focus – Forward-Looking Product Development

Machine efficiency is a decisive factor in enabling our customers to successfully and sustainably realize their projects.

At the same time, the intelligent use of existing resources plays an increasingly important role in their business activities. This is why we are continuously improving our existing products and developing new technical solutions. As early as in the development and design phase of all WIRTGEN GROUP products and technologies, our main focus is on solutions that enable the optimization of costs and more intelligent utilization of valuable resources. The spectrum here ranges from digital assistance systems that improve or speed up processes and retrofit solutions for existing machines and plants to alternative drive technologies and options for the use of alternative fuels. In particular, the strategic relevance of recycling construction materials and reclaimed asphalt pavements is growing across the industry.

Renewable Fuels

Fuels produced from non-fossil resources, such as HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil), make it possible to effectively reduce emissions by up to 90% – especially in the short term *. The engines of the majority of WIRTGEN GROUP machines available today can already be fueled with HVO.

Digitalization as a Sustainable Pacesetter

Digital assistance systems and telematics solutions are increasing the efficiency and profitability of road construction and simultaneously enabling further reductions of harmful emissions. With the John Deere Operations Center™, we are taking the next step on the way to realizing the full potentials of connectivity on construction sites.
