WPT Paving: Digital paving and construction site documentation
With WPT (WIRTGEN GROUP Performance Tracker) Paving, operators always keep track of their Dash 5 paver’s progress, document key paving parameters and analyse relevant performance data in the John Deere Operations Center™.
How the ‘S-Pack’ integrated binding agent spreader module works
The purpose of the ‘S-Pack’ (Spreader Pack) module factory-installed in WR 240(i) or WR 250(i) machines, or integrated as an optional extra in other models, is to enable dust-free spreading of binding agents during cold recycling and soil stabilisation. It spreads lime or cement directly in front of the milling and mixing rotor in a microprocessor-controlled process. ‘S-Pack’ stands for reliable and as good as dust-free spreading of binding agents, which is particularly important on motorways, on industrial estates with strict emission requirements, in residential areas or in nature reserves.
With its entry into the material processing sector, the group of companies has created a further revenue stream and the conditions necessary for continuous growth.
In the InLine Pave process, all the machines work in a line, one immediately after the other. All machines feature a very compact design. The InLine Pave train comprises three machines. An MT 3000-2i Offset material feeder, a SUPER 2100-3i IP paver for placing binder course and a SUPER 1800-3i paver for placing surface course.

Cold recycling with foamed bitumen has become an established technology worldwide and is now increasingly moving into the focus of road authorities and construction companies for use in the rehabilitation and new construction of road pavements. Cold recycling with foamed bitumen produces flexible and highly durable base layers. Being a part of the pavement structure, these are the perfect foundation for the final asphalt overlay to be built at reduced layer thickness. Foamed bitumen is produced from approx. 175 °C hot road-grade bitumen using state-of-theart technology. Microprocessor-controlled injection systems installed in the WIRTGEN recyclers produce the foamed bitumen and inject it into the mineral aggregate in precisely metered quantities.
