Large Spanish recycling company places its trust in state-of-the-art Kleemann technology

Recicam, a family-run company in the center of Spain, is one of the country’s largest recyclers. With a daily throughput of 4000 tons of material, the company has specialized in the processing of mixed rubble. For many years, it has been crushing and screening with Kleemann plants.

“Our collaboration with Kleemann arose through a customer and friend who was working with a MOBICAT MC 110 EVO2 from Kleemann,“ explains Managing Director Juan Manuel Camacho. “We took a look at the plant and it was a perfect fit for our application.” Impressed by this on-site visit, Recicam acquired the first Kleemann machines – initially two used plants.

The high performance and outstanding product quality proved convincing for the company. The employees appreciate the good handling: wide walkways, good accessibility to critical components and well thought-out details.

After visiting Bauma 2022, the company management decided to invest in state-of-the-art Kleemann technology: the MOBICAT MC 120i PRO jaw crusher, the MOBISCREEN MSS 802i EVO scalping screen and the heart of the machine group, the MOBIREX MR 130i PRO impact crusher. A total of eight Kleemann plants are now part of the Recicam machine fleet.

Performance and flexibility make the difference

The plants are deployed in different combinations on the large recycling site, depending on specific requirements. The MOBICAT MC 120i PRO jaw crusher combined with MOBIREX MR 130i PRO impact crusher thus form a powerful team when it comes to processing large feed material: “These two effortlessly process materials into sizes of up to 1200 mm and deliver an end product of excellent quality. And all that with an impressive output of up to 250 tons an hour”, says Juan Manuel Camacho. The demands on the machines are high, also in terms of capacity: “Our plants process up to 4000 tons a day.” The combination of jaw and impact crusher is used to produce final grain sizes of 0–20 and 20–40 mm, depending on the covering of the screening surfaces.

For heavily contaminated demolition material, the MOBIREX MR 130i PRO impact crusher is deployed in interaction with the MOBISCREEN MSS 802i EVO scalping screen. In the process, 260 tons per hour pass over the screen, a third of which goes into the crusher, while the rest is used to build drainage systems.

SPECTIVE CONNECT provides an overview

All crushing plants are equipped with SPECTIVE CONNECT, which enables simple operation and monitoring. This means that important machine data can be accessed in real time. “In the past, we always had to return to the plant to read off information. Today, we get all the data directly on the display, no matter where we are on the site – production capacity, consumption, everything,” Camacho explains enthusiastically. “This makes a huge difference. We can react immediately when we notice that something has to be optimized. This saves many trips, is more efficient and also safer.”

Product quality at a glance

Recicam uses magnetic separators and wind sifters to achieve maximum purity and high-quality end products. This is how ferrous foreign materials and light materials such as wood and plastic are removed. “The quality of our end product is decisive because, as a supplier of recycled material, we are always in competition with natural stone suppliers. Consistent cubicity and purity of the material are our trademarks,” explains Camacho.

Overall package is convincing

For Juan Manuel Camacho, the decision in favor of Kleemann went beyond the technology itself: “Of course the machines are powerful and efficient. But what really convinced us was the total package. We feel very well looked after locally, it’s easy for us to get hold of spare parts, and in production, the costs per ton are unbeatable. The plants are intuitive to operate, well-designed and very robust – key factors when you consider that we process thousands of tons of material here every day.” In Spain, customers of Wirtgen Group are supported by the local dealer EMSA Maquinaria y Proyectos S.L..
