Vocational Training as an Industrial mechanic for mechanical engineering and plant construction (m/f/d)

The perfect start to your career

As an industrial mechanic (m/f/d), you are able to install assemblies or complete machines. The knowledge you acquire here can be applied, e.g. in assembly, commissioning or repair in customer service.

Brief overview

Start of training: September
Duration of training: 3.5 years
Prerequisite: good Certificate of Secondary Education, GCSEs
Subsequent place of work: assembly lines/production all, repair/customer service/service

During the three and a half years of training, comprising an interaction of vocational school and company training, your instructors will prepare you for your subsequent career. Centred around a company training plan, you will spend time in different departments.

Furthermore, we offer company-internal instruction that accompanies the vocational school training (incl. English) to prepare you for examinations and later professional life.

If you perform well, we can offer you a take-over if the company situation permits this.

Course of training

  • Training workshop: basic training, planning and processing of components on manual and CNC-controlled lathes and milling machines.
  • Mechanical machining: the focus here is on the handling of a very wide variety of state-of-the-art machine tools and their production processes.
  • Final assembly: together with the team, you assemble the prefabricated parts into complex construction machines, test them and finally put them into operation.
  • Programming station: based on drawings, you program complicated components and carry out trial runs on CNC machines.

Requirements

  • Dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination (e.g. when assembling machine component groups)
  • Care (e.g. when aligning and clamping workpieces)
  • Technical comprehension and craft skills (e.g. when maintaining machines and production lines)
  • Good physical constitution (e.g. for lifting heavy components)
Training at Kleemann is varied, exciting and offers many opportunities for personal development.
