  • Drafting of technical drawings and documents for structural engineering in steel and other metals
  • 2D and 3D construction
  • Modeling on the basis of technical and structural strength specifications
  • Integration of constructional requirements and material properties in structures

Brief overview

Length of training: 3.5 years
Vocational training college: 1st year in Trier, from 2nd year onwards in Neuwied
Vocational training college courses: 3 days per fortnight

  • Successful graduation from school with good grades in mathematics and science subjects
  • Knowledge and skills in the areas of handicrafts and technology, powers of spatial visualization, thoroughness and attention to details, and interest in technical processes and procedures
