For more sustainable asphalt paving

With the “Dash 5” generation of pavers, VÖGELE puts its faith in environmentally-friendly machine technology, making a key contribution to sustainability in asphalt paving. Above all, the aim is to consume less fossil fuel, cut CO₂ emissions and reduce noise to a minimum. With the optimised low-emission package, VÖGELE provides solutions to all these variables.

EcoPlus: output called up as required

Lower consumption, fewer emissions

The improved VÖGELE EcoPlus automatically adapts the output called up to suit the current requirements of the paving situation in question, in the process reducing fuel consumption as well as noise and CO₂ emissions.

Minimised consumption when paver is stationary

When the paver is stationary, the splitter gearbox reduces fuel consumption by automatically disengaging all the hydraulic pumps needed for “drive”, “transfer” and “compact”.

Quick to reach temperature

A bypass circuit on the controlled hydraulic oil temperature circuit gets the hydraulic oil to its optimum operating temperature in the minimum time possible, enabling rapid, fuel-saving operation of the road paver.

Adaptable tamper drive

The energy-optimised tamper drive is supplied by a variable displacement pump which always delivers only the exact amount of oil needed for the tamper speed in question.

Speed-optimised fan

Optimisation of the variable-speed fan achieves further savings. Separate temperature monitoring of all the media flowing through the cooler now calculates the correct fan speed even more accurately. This, together with additional measures to muffle noise, reduce noise emissions still further.

EcoPlus makes it possible to reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions by up to 25%.

Screed heating with Eco function

To guarantee a clean surface structure, the screed is heated across its full width and held at temperature automatically. Optimised heating rods ensure screed heating is even quicker and more even, with the result that there is no adherence of material. The Eco function ensures particularly economical screed heating, whilst the boost function can quickly bring the compacting systems temperature. This saves time and increases cost efficiency .

Numerous features of the “Dash 5 generation of pavers make it easier for the operator to concentrate on key issues on the job site. This makes the workstation more attractive and also reduces susceptibility to mistakes during the paving process. The features include Paver Access Control (PAC) to simplify commissioning.
