Vögele presents powerful pavers in all sizes at the trade fair

At the World of Asphalt 2022, Vögele presents an attractive cross section of its current product program: From the smallest street paver, the SUPER 700i, through the SUPER 1800-3i SprayJet spray paver to the 10 ft SUPER 2000-3i paver, all machines are designed for productivity, efficiencies and precision.

The road construction specialist presents in Nashville a selection of its products, which are designed especially for the North American market: The SUPER 700i Mini Class paver in combination with the AB 200 extension screed, the SUPER 1800-3i SprayJet Special Class paver in in combination with the VR 600 rear-mounted screed and the SUPER 2000-3i Highway Class paver in combination with the VF 600, the Vögele extension screed with front-mounted extensions. Vögele covers the entire paving spectrum in road construction, from the installation of tightest footpaths and bike lanes in the inner city areas through special applications such as the thin layer paving up to the highway rehabilitation. All pavers and screeds are produced at the German headquarters and are are perfectly matched.

Highway Class Paver SUPER 2000-3i with fixed-width screed VF 600

The SUPER 2000-3i tracked paver is designed especially for the requirements of the North American market and it is very versatile. With an installation capacity of up to 1,540 US t/hr (1,400 t/h) and a powerful 6 cylinder diesel engine, it is especially suitable for the construction of highways and large business areas. Depending on the application and utilization, the Vögele EcoPlus emission reduction package reduces the fuel consumption by up to 25% and also reduces the sound emissions significantly. In combination with the VF 600 front-mounted screed, the paver also achieves a maximum paving width of 19 ft 6 in (6 m), 25 ft 5 in (7.75 m) can be achieved when using attachments. The screed of the 10 ft class implements the requirement to pave with high speed and strongly varying paving widths: The telescopic guidance system, for example, enables very smooth and precise width adjustment. The L-shaped frame also provides high rigidity in longitudinal and transverse directions, while allowing controlled torsion. This means that the screed can be adapted well to a variety of paving situations.

Paver and screed are equipped with the user friendly ErgoBasic operating concept, which consists of an ergonomic paver platform and an operator’s control console as well as two screed control consoles. It enables the operator to set, monitor and change all relevant paving parameters, including for the Niveltronic Plus system for automated grade and slope control.

Especially designed for the requirements of the North American market: The SUPER 2000-3i Highway Class paver by VÖGELE in combination with the front-mounted VF 600 screed.

Special Class Paver SUPER 1800-3i SprayJet with fixed-width screed VR 600

The Vögele spray paver offers a unique modular machine concept: Therefore, it can be used as a spray screed or as a standard screed and can pave thin layers as well as conventional binder and surface courses. This offers a maximum flexibility to construction companies. The bitumen emulsion is sprayed and the asphalt surface is placed in a single pass. This in turn permits a fast construction progress and prevents that construction vehicles drive across the sprayed surface and damage the emulsion film.

The SUPER 1800-3i SprayJet has a maximum spray width of 19 ft 6 in (6 m) and - together with the rear-mounted VR 600 screed, which was especially developed for the North American market - fulfills all requirements for asphalt paving.

The paver presented at the World of Asphalt is, for example, equipped with an additional emulsion tank, which can store 1,320 gal (5,000 l) emulsion in addition to the standard emulsion tank that stores 555 gal (2,100 l). The optional module is especially qualified for applications, which require that very large emulsion volumes must be placed.

Modular machine concept: This means that the SUPER 1800-3i Sprayjet by VÖGELE can be used as a spray paver or as a standard screed and can pave thin layers as well as conventional binder and surface courses.

Mini Class Paver SUPER 700i with fixed-width screed AB 200

Vögele does not only display the right technology for large construction sites in Nashville, but also for tight construction measures such as footpaths and bike lanes: The smallest paver in the product program, the SUPER 700i, can - in combination with the AB 200 extending screed - pave paving widths between 3 ft 7 in (1.1 m) and 6 ft 7 in (2 m). Using width reductions, the Mini Class paver can achieve a minimum paving width of only 1 ft 8 in (0.5 m), a maximum width of 10 ft 6 in (3.2 m) can be achieved when using attachments. This means it is the ideal machine for all smaller construction measures, that require maneuverability and must address compact dimensions.

The Mini paver is equipped with the intuitive and well-arranged ErgoBasic control concept, which offers all basic functions for high quality pavings. This includes well-arranged function and status displays, the control of a variety of operating modes, a glare-free background lighting for night shifts as well as an easy steering using a rotary controller. The ErgoBasic and the ErgoPlus 3 control systems are using the same concept and the same symbols: This means that users can change easily between Vögele pavers of different classes.

The smallest unit in the Vögele product program: The SUPER 700i is especially maneuverable and compact and can implements paving widths between 1 ft 8 in (0.5 m) and 10 ft 6 in (3.2 m).
