HD CompactLine from HAMM – versatile, compact and cost-effective

Top compaction power

All rollers of the HD CompactLine Series deliver high compaction power. This is primarily due to the large drum diameters: they help to actively prevent the formation of fissures and bulges while promoting high compaction quality. Moreover, the rollers have a high static linear load and generate very large centrifugal forces. Another bonus is the ease of handling when manoeuvring along walls and kerbs since the drums of the HD 18 and HD 20 are offset by 72 and 70 mm as standard. Optionally, a scraper variant without offset is available for these two models. Both models, the HD 18 VV and HD 20 VV also have a “clear side”: no component protrudes beyond the working width on either side and the drums are suspended on one side only. As a result, they can reach and compact right alongside walls and other boundaries. The drums of HD 30 and HD 50 can be offset by up to 50 mm. All models come with foldable scrapers as standard.

Good visibility

Thanks to the typical HAMM wasp waist design, the visibility matches the typical requirements on jobsites. The driver always has an unobstructed view of the drums and immediate surroundings. Due to the intelligent design of the engine hood, the area in front of the machine is always clearly visible, too.

Homogeneous weight distribution

The 3-point articulation ensures uniform weight distribution over both axles. It also enables a very small turning radius along with exceptional driving comfort. Thanks to the articulated joint and low centre of gravity, the rollers in the HD CompactLine have great resistance to tipping, too, even in tight corners.

Reliable sprinkling

The water sprinkling system has been designed for high quality and productivity. The water undergoes triple filtration with a self-cleaning water filter, a filter on the filler neck and filters before the sprinkling system. The water volume can be adjusted during compaction on the dashboard. In addition, the driver can activate continuous water sprinkling via the foot switch.

Self-explanatory operation

Thanks to their self-explanatory operation and clear display of all important operating data using unambiguous symbols, the rollers are extremely easy to operate. The display does not use any text at all. Accordingly, no language skills are required, which boosts the overall safety level.

Options for all applications

HAMM also offers numerous options such as the edge pressing and cutting equipment, LED working lights, LED beacon or a protective plastic roof.

Easy transport and efficient service

The HD CompactLine rollers HD 18, HD 20, HD 30 and HD 35 can easily be loaded using a central suspension point on the grab handle – even onto small transport vehicles. This saves time and is exceptionally straightforward. Hamm rollers make life easy for the operator not only during compaction, but also in maintenance. For example, the central water outlet is positioned at the lowest point on the machine. One single manual operation is all it takes to completely drain the water tanks in the rear section. In addition, the self-cleaning water filter can be checked in a matter of seconds. The remaining daily checks are also swiftly dealt with since all maintenance points are gathered on one side of the machine and are readily accessible, without any tools, under the wide-opening engine hood.
