With WPT (WIRTGEN GROUP Performance Tracker) Paving, operators always keep track of their Dash 5 paver’s progress, document key paving parameters and analyse relevant performance data in the John Deere Operations Center™.

Available variants

VÖGELE offers two versions of paving and construction site documentation for road construction: WPT Paving Basic and WPT Paving Pro. WPT Paving Pro can also be combined with the RoadScan temperature-measurement system.

WPT Paving Basic

Document pavement-relevant data on the paver and in the John Deere Operations Center™
Display of current values such as built-in area, fuel consumption and CO₂ equivalents
Target/actual comparison of paving data such as route progress and paving productivity (productive times and interruptions) as well as comparison of theoretical and actual asphalt tonnage installed

Frequently asked questions about the advantages, requirements and retrofit options for WPT Paving from VÖGELE

For the construction site team:
- User-friendly documentation:
  Relevant paving data can be easily documented digitally on the paver.
- Monitoring in real time:
  The performance data is clearly displayed on the ErgoPlus 5 Premium Touch Display and on the screed operator’s console.
- Comprehensible paving process:
  By comparing the planned and actual paving data, the team knows the progress of the paving and can react in the event of deviations.
For site managers:
- Overview in the John Deere Operations Center™:
  Transparent display and documentation of paving data such as paving speed, specified paving thickness, calculated material quantities and recorded mix deliveries.

For the construction site team:
- Real-time monitoring and documentation:
  As with WPT Paving Basic, paving-related data is displayed on the ErgoPlus 5 Premium Touch Display and the screed control console and documented on the paver. The paving team keeps track of the current progress on the construction site.
- Further digital solutions:
  The Dash 5 paver is ready with WPT Paving Pro to use additional solutions such as the RoadScan temperature sensor or the Smart Pave digital control system.
For site managers:
- Simplified documentation:
  Recorded performance data is automatically transferred to John Deere Operations Center™, where it is available for use in tasks such as creating a construction site report. Site managers can fulfil their reporting obligations without significant additional effort.
- Comprehensive analysis:
  WPT Paving Pro enables precise evaluation of performance data in the John Deere Operations Center™ – the basis for well-founded, data-supported decisions.
- Overview of the production system:
  The data can be combined with WPT data from all WIRTGEN GROUP machines involved in a construction project (e.g. milling machines, pavers and rollers). This provides a comprehensive overview of the entire production system.

To use WPT Paving, customers need:

An X-Tier road paver of the Dash 5 generation
ErgoPlus 5 and Premium Touch

Additional components such as the StarFire™ dual antenna system are required for WPT Paving Pro. These are part of the option and are installed in the roof of the paver. This means that the digital solution is always ready for use.

WPT Paving Basic is available on all Dash 5 X-Tier pavers, provided they are equipped with Premium Touch.
Transferring and using data in the John Deere Operations Center™ for construction machinery is possible if the digital telematics platform is available in the respective country.
WPT Paving Pro is available in selected countries.

The John Deere Operations Center™ for construction machinery is a central platform for digital solutions for the efficient management of complete construction sites – at any time and from anywhere – including planning, monitoring, service and maintenance, and analyses.

The Operations Center™ becomes the interface between operators and machines on the construction site and the office of site managers and dispatchers. In this role, it ensures a better overview and increases efficiency and productivity.

For users who already have a VÖGELE X-Tier road paver of the Dash 5 generation with ErgoPlus 5 Premium Touch and would like to use WPT Paving Pro, there is a retrofit option.

For further information, please contact your dealer or your local WIRTGEN GROUP branch.

WPT Paving in the Basic and Pro versions was developed specifically for the Dash 5 machine generation. Retrofitting a Dash 3 paver with the digital solution is therefore not possible.
