Making quality measurable

Constant asphalt temperature, optimal paving: The RoadScan temperature-measurement system developed for the Dash 5 machine generation enables VÖGELE precise and comprehensive monitoring of the paving temperature.

One of the major challenges in road construction? Making quality measurable! Continuous monitoring of the mix temperature is crucial, especially when paving low-temperature asphalt.

With the VÖGELE RoadScan measurement system, users can continuously monitor and document the temperature of the asphalt behind the screed up to a paving width of 13 m. Operators can view the data on the display of their VÖGELE road paver and in the John Deere Operations Center™ from anywhere.

The RoadScan from VÖGELE is a high-precision temperature sensor with 100% measurement coverage. Its compact dimensions and low weight ensure easy transport and simple installation on the roof of the paver.

Further usable measurement data

External influencing parameters

Additional parameters such as the ground temperature can be measured using an undercarriage pyrometer. The optional weather station can be used to record weather data such as wind speed, wind direction, ambient temperature, air pressure and humidity.

Position data

Thanks to WPT Paving Pro's precise John Deere StarFire™ dual antenna system, all recorded data is accurately geolocated.

All process data at a glance

The installation-relevant data can be combined with WPT data from all WIRTGEN GROUP machines involved in a construction project (e.g. milling machines, pavers and rollers). This provides a comprehensive overview of the entire production system.
