The VÖGELE company story

Founded as a smithy by Joseph Vögele in 1836, the company soon begins to concentrate on products for the railways. VÖGELE develops and builds switchpoints, traversers, turntables and shunting equipment and signal boxes.

Roads are needed as society becomes increasingly motorized. As early as the late 1920s, VÖGELE is developing and producing the first road paver and the first towed spreader. VÖGELE increasingly moves its focus to road construction and becomes a specialist in road construction machinery. Today, VÖGELE is the market leader in pavers, trusted by customers all over the world.
