R&D Manager

Job Responsibility:

• Responsible for leading R&D teams to achieve targets assigned by Operations Director
• Communicate with German headquarters to define project schedule, solve design issue, and plan technical changes
• Work together with Sales to define machine specification and cost target
• Lead and motivate NPI teams on the road construction machinery design, coordinate with other departments and push the project to be finished as planned
• Manage prototype building and coordinate with related parties to finish prototype testing
• Manage product cost through design optimization and cost saving initiatives in supplier selection
• Technical support to Purchasing, Quality, Production and Service departments
• Professional and disciplinary management of the employees in R&D department
• Manage trade security matters related to R & D aspect
• Other work assigned by Operations Director

Requirements:

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent engineering degrees
• Around 10 years’ experience in R&D Project management (preferably in construction machinery)
• Experience in design and development of machines and parts. Ideally previous experience in the road or construction machinery field
• Experience in 3D CAD Systems (Unigraphics NX, Solid Edge or comparable)
• Demonstrated operational working experience in an international environment
• Excellent English skills both in reading, writing and oral communication
• Honest, self-starter, willing to learn and able to work well under pressure
