Manager / Senior Manager – Engineering – Design – Conveyor Systems

Location: Pune, Factory

Basic Requirements:

• Educational Qualification : B.E. / B.Tech or higher
• Age : 30-40 Years
• Experience: 12-16 Years

Purpose of the Job:

• Performing full lifecycle product development
• Excellent design knowledge of all mobile conveyor system components & their integration
• Knowledge of international standards related to conveyor design, capacity, and safety.
• Coordinating trials Test setups and equipment for components/ groups and assemblies with a variety of functions and links and, if necessary, further develop them. Have test and measuring instruments tested. Evaluate test results.
• Conducting experiments methodically, analyzing data and interpreting results
• Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
• Review and improve system Concepts for innovative and competitive design.

Scope of Work & Accountabilities:

• Perform a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement) for CEV (Construction and Earth moving Vehicle)
• Develop design solutions for products within the framework of given concepts. Constructively edit links by modifying existing functions and elements. Develop and evaluate solution drafts taking into account functional, material, manufacturing and economic aspects and coordinate them with the responsible authorities.
• Carry out design investigations into function, arrangement and design, select and modify elements. Standardize parts of comparable functions. Develop designs in a way that is ready for detail, taking into account the specified production technology, given materials and technical standards, and coordinate them with the responsible authorities.
• Develop innovative concepts for components/groups and ensure feasibility. Design constructive solutions or coordinate them with internal and external development partners. Assess the constructive results of the development partners. Creation of specifications and designs for external design offices, supervision and testing of external designs.
• Complex calculations for the dimensioning of the parts and assemblies to be designed on the basis of formulas (e.g. strength, stiffness, cross-sections, focal points, masses). Determine dimensioning and service life.
• Design or calculation results in technical lists (e.g. parts lists, cost comparison lists) taking into account the numbering system and product-specific features. Create technical lists.
• Monitor function / system specifications: evaluate its performance & reliabilities etc to ensure achievement of all objectives.
• Stakeholder management and provide technical assistance to resolve issues.
• Timely execution of Engineering change requests, create and get applied the Engineering changes.

Skills / Competencies required:

• Excellent Technical knowledge of Design conveyor system & design / selection of Conveyor system components with proven track record.
• Excellent Technical knowledge of Structural / Fabrication assembly design with proven track record.
• Knowledge of Kinematics & Linkages design & optimization.
• Knowledge of international standards related to conveyor system & safety requirements.
• Experience of using CAD software, PLM Software and ERP systems. SAP, ECTR & UG NX is preferred.
• Design Calculations, Load paths etc using existing tools and developing Customized Tools.
• Excellent knowledge of creation of Production Drawings, GD&T, Tolerance stack up.
• Understanding of Vehicle Integration.
• Experience of Solving Complex Engineering Problems.
