Quick-change toolholder system HT22 for cold recyclers and soil stabilizers

Extended service life, less idle times

The quick-change toolholder system HT22 is characterised primarily by an increased wear resistance. The system’s especially long service life makes itself apparent on the construction site by considerably extended replacement intervals. A characteristic feature is the prismatic arranged contact surface.

For the user, this directly results in an extended service life of both the pick and the quick-change toolholder system. The resulting advantages – fewer picks needing to be replaced, less idle times, extended maintenance intervals and increased machine uptime – allow even the most challenging soils to be stabilized economically, and heavily damaged pavement structures to be milled off and recycled in an efficient process.

IMPRESSIVE:

  • Maximum possible impact load and also shear load in extreme cases thanks to a reworked toolholder shank geometry and optimised heat treatment.
  • Fewer maintenance requirements since the pressure screw in the HT22 quick-change toolholder system needs to be re-tightened only every 500 machine operating hours.
  • Better lower part protection thanks to a greater wear volume in the shoulder section in the upper part of the toolholder to ensure a longer service life for individual lower parts and the entire milling drum.

Perfect companions: WCC and HT22

The WCC cutting tool also has a reliable HT22 interface. This guarantees the low-maintenance and reliable use of the tool. The large wear volume in the shoulder section of the WCC cutting tool increases the service life of the HT22 toolholder. As a result, the combination of WCC and HT22 maximises the carbide utilisation of the holder and tool.

WCC cutting tools

WCC milling tools are eminently suitable for mixing compact soils with large pieces of rock thanks to their tool geometry and materials. They feature a highly wear-resistant carbide edge, which is extremely fracture-resistant and impactproof due to the enormous material thickness.

DURAFORCE milling and mixing rotor

Challenging operating conditions such as the powerful cold recycling, granulation or stabilization of coarse-grained soils make extreme demands on the cutting tools. This calls for perfectly matched components designed to meet the highest performance requirements. They can be relied on to provide high milling and mixing performance while ensuring maximum resistance and durability at the same time.

The original WIRTGEN Duraforce milling and mixing rotor impresses with extreme wear resistance, impact strength and fracture strength for all applications in soil stabilization and cold recycling: a single rotor catering to all requirements.
