Kleemann jaw crushers prove their value in recycling

Operation at Ausdecom in Australia

In addition to demolition work, the portfolio of Australian company Ausdecom also includes recycling. And they have been using a Kleemann MOBICAT MC 120 jaw crusher for this purpose since 2008. As a result of extremely positive feedback, the fleet has been expanded to include two MOBICAT MC 120 PRO jaw crushers.

In Australia, Ausdecom is primarily known as a demolition company. In addition to tearing down old structures, for example from the petrochemical or oil and gas industries, the company also focuses on recycling: “The circular economy is in Ausdecom’s DNA,” explains Brent Alford, Ausdecom Recycling General Manager. “Our business has always been based on reusing or recycling as much of the materials we extract from our projects as possible.”

Ausdecom is represented throughout Australia. The company provides contract crushing at its own depots as well as mobile services for large and remote sites. Its wide-ranging fleet includes stationary and mobile shears and crushers, mobile mixing drums and soil recyclers.

Mobile crushing in all quantities

“We also travel to our customers’ building sites to crush and recycle concrete, brick, stone or other recyclable materials,” says Alford. Both complete and modular plants are part of the service. “We’re equipped to handle crushing in all scenarios,” confirms Alford, “so we can take on virtually any task in the materials processing and waste industry.” The company’s key asset is a large, mobile crushing plant with a capacity of up to 600 tonnes per hour – one of the few plants in Australia to boast such an impressive performance.

The company places its trust in Kleemann

The company has been working with Kleemann’s MOBICAT MC 120 Z mobile jaw crusher since 2008. The plant has been in daily use on Ausdecom projects for 15 years. The crusher has proven itself in tough continuous operation and Ausdecom has been delighted with Kleemann’s customer service: “The service and spare parts availability from Wirtgen Australia have been excellent. The after-sales service for the older model sealed the deal in favour of investing in the new Kleemann MC 120 PRO jaw crusher.”

Recently, the fleet was expanded by the addition of two MOBICAT MC 120 PRO, a jaw crusher that is suitable for the primary crushing of virtually all types of natural stone. The machine is extremely robust and requires little maintenance. The PRO model also features a diesel-electric power system with low fuel consumption and reduced operating costs.

Diesel-electric drive

The MOBICAT MC 120 PRO is equipped with a diesel-electric drive. The plant can also be equipped with the “external power supply” option. The plant can then be operated with diesel fuel as well as all-electrically. Electric operation makes on-site CO₂ emission-free work possible.

Robust, reliable, low fuel consumption

All this leads to high production output even with difficult materials. “Excavation rock is some of the hardest material you can possibly get through a crusher,” says Alford. “And we are knocking out 3,000 tonnes of this stuff every day. That’s really hard crushing.”

The bottom line is that Kleemann’s plants are not only robust and reliable, they also boast very low fuel consumption. Moreover, Wirtgen Australia has subsidiaries throughout Australia and is currently further expanding its network. In addition to the quality of the plants, this is another reason why Ausdecom has opted for Kleemann in the long term.
