We are looking for a

Field Service Technician (Crushing / Screening) - Nationwide

As a result of UK growth, a number of experienced Field Service Engineers with strong knowledge of plant equipment repair are required to provide an industry leading planned and reactive repair and maintenance service for an internationally renowned equipment manufacturer.

WIRTGEN GROUP (a John Deere company) is celebrated globally for its market-leading products, excellent customer-focused service and implementation of tried and tested quality standards. Often acting as the face of the company the successful Field Service Engineer will use their knowledge and experience of repairing & servicing mobile plant equipment on customer sites to provide them with a trusted and efficient service. An enquiring, analytical mind and the ability to portray a professional, courteous image at all times is essential.


Key Duties:

  • Servicing, maintenance, and repair of Kleemann equipment.
  • Commissioning/training of Kleemann machinery.
  • Diagnose machine issues or customer complaints and assist in finding solutions.
  • Communicating with the office coordination team to ensure effective planning and delivery of the service schedule
  • Conduct machine inspections.
  • Assist in the training of Apprentices and other staff as required.


To be considered you must have the following:

  • Good knowledge and experience of repairing / servicing plant equipment, preferably large mobile plant on customer sites
  • Hold an NVQ 3 in Mechanical Engineering / Plant Maintenance or equivalent
  • Proven experience within a Service Technician/Light Vehicle Mechanic role for minimum 2 years.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to communicate well with co-workers and customers.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Clear problem solver.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Willing to learn and take direction.
