Parts Program Development & Sales Director

Position Overview:

The Parts Program Development & Sales Director is responsible for identifying and developing new aftermarket opportunities for parts sales, with a strong emphasis on wear parts. This role leads a team of Area Parts Sales Managers who work closely with customers, dealers, and internal stake-holders to research market needs, evaluate product performance, and drive the introduction of inno-vative aftermarket solutions. The manager will ensure that the team delivers actionable insights and strategies that expand the parts portfolio and increase revenue.


Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development
  • Effectively manage and direct a team of Area Parts Sales Managers focused on identifying new aftermarket opportunities across multiple territories.
  • Set clear objectives and KPIs for the team, ensuring alignment with overall parts sales strategy.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity within the team.

Market Research & Opportunity Identification
  • Oversee research into customer needs, product line usage patterns, and wear part per-formance.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and market trends to identify gaps and opportunities for new products.
  • Collaborate with product support and procurement teams to validate feasibility and profit-ability of new parts.

Aftermarket Product Development
  • Drive initiatives to expand the wear parts portfolio, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to develop and launch new aftermarket products.
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards for all new parts in-troduced.

Sales Enablement & Dealer Engagement
  • Support field sales efforts by providing technical and market insights to dealers and cus-tomers.
  • Develop training materials and programs to educate dealers on new aftermarket offerings.
  • Partner with marketing to create promotional strategies for new products.

Parts Pricing Strategy & Execution
  • Maintain and update parts pricing in alignment with market conditions, supplier costs, and competitive benchmarks.
  • Use analytics to evaluate margin performance, pricing effectiveness, and elasticity.
  • Partner with Product Management and Finance to ensure pricing accuracy and profitabil-ity.

Analytics & Performance Monitoring
  • Utilize data analytics to measure product performance, market penetration, and ROI.
  • Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior leadership on aftermarket growth initiatives.
  • Continuously refine strategies based on performance metrics and customer feedback.


Qualifications:

  • Strong technical background in Wirtgen Group products lines.
  • Strong understanding of wear parts and heavy equipment applications.
  • Excellent leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Advanced analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to analyze KPIs and implement performance improvements.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing outside parts sales personnel.

Education & Experience:

  • B.S. or equivalent in Business Management or related field is preferred or
  • 5+ years of experience in aftersales, aftermarket operations and related heavy equipment fields
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and data tools (Power BI, Excel, etc.).
