New Wirtgen SP 62i inset slipform paver has North American debut at WOC 2018

Three slipform pavers and a texture curing machine from Wirtgen - plus a mobile Kleemann crusher – will be shown at World of Concrete 2018 Jan. 23-26, and will include the North America introduction of the SP 62i slipform paver. At its stand No. 6343 in the Central Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Wirtgen Group will present innovative solutions for all aspects of concrete paving.

The compact Wirtgen inset slipform paver SP 62i can pave concrete slabs in widths from 6 ft., 6 in. to 24 ft. (2.00 m to 7.50 m) and thicknesses of up to 18 in. (450 mm).

US debut Wirtgen SP 62i: Economical inset paver on two tracks for working widths of up to 24 ft. (7,5 m)

The SP 62i can precisely pave concrete in widths from 6 ft., 6 in. to 24 ft. (2.00 m to 7.50 m) and thicknesses of up to 18 in. (450 mm) - or more upon customer request. The intelligent steering and control system ensures extremely smooth operation even around tight corners. Thanks to the simple modification and extensibility with additional options the SP 62i can be quickly set up and adapted to any jobsite situation. Due to the easy transportability the paver is quickly available on site.

Dispersion is applied to the concrete in precisely metered quantities by the spraying unit on the transverse drive, preventing the concrete from drying prematurely. The desired surface texture is achieved by a brooming unit, which is also mounted on the transverse drive of the TCM 180i.

Wirtgen TCM 180i: Self-propelled curing unit for large working widths

Self-propelled curing units, such as the TCM 180i from Wirtgen, guarantee the success of professionally cured concrete pavements. As soon as concrete has been paved by the slipform paver, it must be protected without delay to prevent curing moisture from evaporating, as this causes tension which, in turn, leads to cracks. When paving concrete, the TCM 180i, with its automatic spraying and brooming system, follows directly behind the slipform paver to produce the desired surface texture. Finally, the spraying system applies a coating to the fresh concrete to retard evaporation of curing moisture. The curing unit’s modular design permits working widths between 13 ft., 1 in. and 59 ft., 1 in. (4 m and 18 m). With its new operating concept, the TCM 180i can now be operated intuitively, just like the Wirtgen slipform pavers of the SP 90 and SP 60 series.

Thanks to the certified standard interface Wirtgen’s offset pavers SP 15i and SP 25i are perfectly equipped for reliable communication with common 3D systems.

Wirtgen SP 15i and SP 25i: Quick-change artists in offset concrete paving

The slipform pavers SP 15i and SP 25i are the specialists when it comes to high quality concrete paving of monolithic profiles in offset application. With these two machines Wirtgen rounds off its exhibits in Las Vegas. The offset mold can be positioned flexibly on either side of the machines, within or beyond the chassis. Transport poses no problem due to the machine's compact design.

The powerful performance and low consumption values of the MR 130 Z EVO2 plant are as impressive as the first class final product quality. The machine is agile and compact – with the highest productivity.

Impact crusher MOBIREX 130 Z EVO2 with a new control system

The mobile impact crushers from the EVO line can be deployed universally and produce first-class final product quality. With a feed capacity of up to 450 tons per hour (496 US t/h), the MR 130 Z EVO2 is one of the most high-performing and efficient machines in its class. The generously sized feeding unit and the Continuous Feed System (CFS) guarantee optimal capacity utilization without interruptions. The productivity is also increased by thorough primary screening. The independent double deck pre-screen filters out fines with oscillating movements. The MR 130 Z EVO2 is equipped with the new control system SPECTIVE. SPECTIVE is simple to understand and supports the operator in his or her work. The use of clear symbols makes all plant functions recognizable at a glance. Similar in presentation to a smart phone, the operator is guided by the control system, reducing the potential for operating errors. In addition, data relating to the machine operation can be retrieved via the control system, and the levels of diesel and lube oil, for example, can be viewed in the plant cockpit.
