Vögele’s large SUPER 3000-3i paver with the SB 350 Fixed-Width Screed.

The largest:
Vögele’s SUPER 3000-3i paver

The SUPER 3000-3i is not only the largest and most powerful paver, it is also versatile and user-friendly. With its new functions like the innovative material handling concept and hydraulic tamper stroke adjustment, it is really convenient to adjust it to varying layer thicknesses.

It is above all the performance data of the SUPER 3000-3i which impress at first glance:

Maximum pave width 18 m | Rated output 354 kW | Laydown rate 1,800 t/h

A real power pack which can cope with any large job site - but as well as just flexing its muscles, it also gives users lots of intelligent, time-saving functions. Foremost among these are the newly-developed material handling concept and hydraulic tamper stroke adjustment. Both features make it easier for users to work with varying layer thicknesses by making manual settings or modification work completely superfluous. The new material handling concept even makes it possible to pave anti-freeze layers and base courses up to 50 cm thick. We demonstrate how accurately the new functions work and the benefits they bring.

Innovative material handling concept

The new feature facilitates a high conveying capacity and an optimum head of mix for a variety of layer thicknesses: the height of the rear section of the chassis, including the conveyors and augers, can be infinitely varied at the touch of a button. As a result, the mix is always transferred to the augers from above - so from the ideal discharge point. This supports an optimum conveying capacity and distribution of the mix, even when paving thick base courses of up to 50 cm. For large pave widths, the fixed link between the augers and the rear wall of the chassis also delivers greater stability.

You can find out in detail how to adjust chassis height in our animation:

The highlights of chassis height adjustment

  • Adjusting the height of augers and conveyor together
  • The conveyor's discharge point onto the augers remains the same across the entire adjustment range
  • Optimum head of mix and conveying capacity at all layer thicknesses
  • Possible to pave layer thicknesses of up to 50 cm without modifying the screed
  • Fixed link between augers and rear wall of chassis means greater stability at large pave widths

Hydraulic tamper stroke adjustment

In combination with the new SB 300 and SB 350 Fixed-Width Screeds, there is now the option of adjusting the tamper stroke to 4 or 8 mm hydraulically - and thus quickly and conveniently - using the ErgoPlus 3 operating system. Operators previously had to adjust the tamper stroke to 2, 4, or 7 mm manually whenever layer thickness varied; now it takes just the touch of a button. When paving varying layer thicknesses with the same screed, this speeds up processes while guaranteeing high-quality compaction results.

The highlights of hydraulic tamper stroke adjustment

  • Hydraulic tamper stroke adjustment replaces time-consuming mechanical adjustment
  • Operators can quite simply set the appropriate tamper stroke of either 4 or 8 mm at the touch of a button on the paver operator’s or the screed operator’s console
  • More convenience and efficiency when layer thicknesses vary
