In the Gniewków quarry in Poland, several KLEEMANN crushing and screening plants crush granite for use in road and railway construction.

After a long consultation process, Dolata decided on KLEEMANN. The operating company of several gravel pits and quarries in Poland initially acquired one MC 120 Z, one MCO 11 PRO and one MS 15 Z. In the following year, one MC 120 Z PRO and another MCO 11 PRO and one MS 21 Z were added to this.

Granite for road and railway construction

The jaw crushers MOBICAT MC 120 Z PRO and MC 120 Z crush the granite with a feed size of 0-600 mm down to 0-150 mm. In the next step, the scalping screens MOBISCREEN MS 15 Z and MS 21 Z are used to screen an upper road base layer of 0-31 mm and a lower layer of 31-63. The oversize grain is processed in the next step with MOBICONE MCO 11 PRO cone crushers to a 63+ final product that is used in railway construction.

"Thanks to the fact that the MC 120 Z PRO has a diesel-electric drive, we achieve a very low fuel consumption of approximately 20 litres an hour. At the same time, there is an option for operating the machine via the power-supply system."
