Technical Sales Manager (Kleemann)

WIRTGEN AMERICA depends on talented individuals who have a passion for working as a team to exceed customer expectations with quality machines and products, service and support.

We are searching for a Technical Sales Manager (KLEEMANN) whose purpose is to develop new relationships and foster existing relationships in the mineral and mining industry within the Southwest territory including Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, southern Nevada and southern California.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Travels regularly to establish themselves as the Kleemann product expert by providing exceptional sales and product support.
  • Assists the dealer and customer to identify training opportunities; plans, schedules and performs product training as needed.
  • Monitors machine inventory to ensure sufficient levels to satisfy demand
  • Engages dealer and customer to monitor machine performance; and develops new techniques to reduce losses and improve quality.
  • Recommends and implements changes to product which would improve cost, delivery, and quality for the customer.
  • Performs professional demonstrations and manages specific product start-ups in the field with customers.
  • Produces competitive analysis data comparing similar product with its key competitors.
  • Works closely with area sales managers to assist in finding technical solutions for customer-specific needs, including professional demonstrations, job site solutions, and competitive comparisons.
  • Works closely with and supports the Product Support/Service department regarding any issues.
  • Works in conjunction with Director on sales issues.

Education/Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 2 years’ experience of related experience; or 5+ years related experience.

Other required skills include:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to interpret and understand data sets and extract relevant information into reports
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the crushing, screening and aggregate mining industry
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize schedules and work independently
