Recycling Applications Specialist

The primary purpose of the Recycling Applications Specialist’s role is to provide a broad range of technical support for the full recycling product line by successfully accomplishing the key responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establishes themselves as the product expert by attending training, developing relationships with factory or industry experts and relative work experience.
  • Plans, schedules and performs product training for customers and dealers as the need arises.
  • Monitors machine performance and develops new techniques to reduce losses and improve quality.
  • Recommends and implements changes to product which would improve cost, delivery, and quality for the customer.
  • Performs professional demonstrations and manages specific product start-ups in the field with customers.
  • Produces competitive analysis materials comparing product with its key competitors.
  • Works closely with area sales managers to assist in finding technical solutions for customer-specific needs, including professional demonstrations, job site solutions, and competitive comparisons
  • Works closely with service department concerning service issues.
  • Works in conjunction with Director on sales issues.
  • Travels on average 3 weeks a month to visit customers with area managers, dealer sales persons and perform product training.
  • Performs miscellaneous tasks for Recycling Products as is needed.

Education/Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
