Levelling with the LEVEL PRO system

Wirtgen counts on LEVEL PRO – a levelling system specially developed for milling machines and surface miners – for achieving highly accurate milling results. The system enables the milling depth to be controlled from the operator’s platform, and supplies information on the levelling process.

The key parameters at one glance

Intuitive, ergonomically optimized handling with user-friendly graphical displays and function keys is one of the outstanding hallmarks of LEVEL PRO. It permits the machine operator to always have an eye on key parameters like, for instance, target and actual milling depth values, or cross slope.

Precise levelling

The LEVEL PRO controller is the “brain” of the new system. It evaluates all data transmitted by the sensors, controls the machine’s height adjustment, and forwards the data to the control panel. Different types of sensors are available for the LEVEL PRO levelling system to meet the many different requirements on the accuracy of the final surface.

Sensor options offer flexibility

An exceptionally large range of compatible sensors is available for use with the LEVEL PRO levelling system. Wire-rope sensors, ultrasonic sensors, transducing sensors, slope sensors, laser sensors, the sonic ski, a 3D system with total station, or combinations of various sensor types are ideal, depending on job site conditions.
