The VÖGELE tracked paver SUPER 1400

The new SUPER 1400 points the way toward the future of road construction in India. Its chassis and material handling system are of an uncompromisingly robust design – just like the innovative high-tech components inside the machine. They all pursue one single goal: advancing quality and work safety in road construction. What is more, the Indo-German development team works to the same high standards that apply in Europe. This simultaneously ensured that customers would have a premium machine with first-class technology at their disposal.

The new ErgoBasic operating concept was developed on the basis of the proven ErgoPlus operating system, but it was tailored specifically to the needs and requirements of the users of the multifunctional pavers.

The range of applications of the SUPER 1400 paver ranges from motorway construction to winding city streets. This is where the compact dimensions of the Universal Class paver come into their own, ensuring the machine's excellent manœuvrability. The SUPER 1400 is driven by a powerful and efficient 6-cylinder, 112kW Cummins diesel engine. Supported by an effective cooling system, the drive reliably delivers its full power under extreme tropical conditions. The ergonomic and fit-for-purpose ErgoBasic operating concept provides an optimum overview while ensuring a high level of operating comfort for the paver and screed. The simple maintenance with easy access to all vital service points on the machine is another typical VÖGELE feature.

The ErgoBasic remote control unit for the screed allows all paving-related functions to be set quickly and easily. That includes direct access to the material handling systems and the sonic sensor for the auger.

The hydraulics are likewise designed for high performance. They drive the material handling system extremely precisely, ensuring an optimum head of mix in front of the screed at all times. When combined with the state-of-the-art AB 480 TV Extending Screed with optional electric heating, the paver can lay down high-quality surfaces in widths from 2.55m to 4.8m and ranging up to 7.3m with bolt-on extensions. The maximum laydown rate is 600t/h. The long crawler tracks with separate hydraulic drives guarantee maximum traction in all situations.
