Strong system partnership between Wirtgen and Streumaster for better customer service

Streumaster manufactures high-quality binder spreaders exclusively for Wirtgen. These machines for pre-spreading lime and cement are an ideal completion of Wirtgen’s programme of soil stabilizers and cold recyclers. The latest product developments resulting from the successful cooperation of these two companies are the high-end spreader models SW 12 SC and SW 16 SC mounted on the distinctive “Crocodile” trailer.

The two renowned family businesses have been co-operating closely for more than two years: While Wirtgen develops innovative machinery for road construction and road rehabilitation in their main plant in Windhagen, Streumaster – headquartered in Neumarkt - Sankt Veit, a town in southern Germany – has been building first-class spreaders for use in agriculture and the building industry since 1967. Wirtgen is world market leader in cold milling machines, and technological leader in the fields of soil stabilization and cold recycling.

Customers are delighted with complete solution

“Our system partnership with Streumaster puts us in a fortunate position, for it enables us to fully meet our customers’ requirements for a complete solution in soil stabilization and cold recycling. Streumaster produces a range of mature lime and cement spreaders for us”, says Walter Grüber, Product Manager at Wirtgen GmbH, explaining the fruitful collaboration with system partner Streumaster.

Streumaster’s comprehensive product portfolio currently includes seven binding agent spreaders as either towed or built-up models.

The SW 10 TA and SW 16 TA, as well as two electronically controlled binding agent spreaders, the SW 10 TC and SW 16 TC, are part of the towed model range. Their binding agent containers have a filling capacity of 10 m³ or 16.5 m³ respectively. Streumaster spreaders of the A series spread binding agents in accordance with the carrier vehicle’s or tractor’s travel speed. Their excellent spreading performance is guaranteed by a special, generously dimensioned spreading auger. The spreaders of the A series are particularly suitable for use in soil stabilization. Streumaster spreaders of the C series are also suitable for use in cold recycling: In these spreader models, spreading and uniform distribution of the binding agents are governed electronically in proportion to the carrier vehicle’s or tractor’s travel speed. Three self-cleaning metering feeders ensure uniform and continuous spreading of the binding agents irrespective of their flow properties or specific weight.

The SW 16 MC is available as a built-up spreader model. Spreading and uniform distribution of the binding agent are governed electronically. The binding agent container has a filling capacity of 16.5 m³.

“Crocodile” completes product portfolio

Streumaster is an innovative trendsetter, which is confirmed yet again by the newly developed high-end SC spreader models SW 12 SC/SW 16 SC that are mounted on the Crocodile trailer. The trailer not only resembles a colossal crocodile, but also emulates the animal’s robust, sturdy build.

Streumaster’s engineers have paid much attention even to minute details to guarantee maximum reliability even on difficult ground: The resulting product is a self-propelled binding agent spreader – user-friendly and with high spreading capacity.

The Crocodile is available in two different versions: The SW 16 SC offers a 16 m³ large binding agent container, a working width of 2.76 m and an overall width of 2.93 m. The second model, the SW 12 SC, has a 12.5 m³ large binding agent container, working width of 2.46 m and overall width of 2.55 m.

Streumaster’s product portfolio is marketed exclusively via the Wirtgen Group and its global network of 55 sales and service companies and more than 100 authorized dealers. Local, on-site service is also handled via the Wirtgen Group’s professional service network, effectively supported by Streumaster’s service engineers.
